Legal Question in Business Law in California

Investment Fraud

I invested $60,000.00 with a new emerging investment group. Lots of paperwork including their system of "cross currency foreign" exchange something or other, risk disclosure stating, "low-risk" high yield...within two months, they claimed their entire company (equity of $350,000.00) was gone...does this sound kosher? is there anyway to look at records, accounts, etc.?

If they aren't providing you with documentation per your request, you should probably pursue this with an attorney. Companies don't just go through that much money in a short period of time unless something improper was going on.

Re: Investment Fraud

It sounds like you may have been snookered. In this kind of situation, you should see a lawyer immediately. If the company in fact is going out of business, you need to move quickly to protect your rights. Other creditors will also be pursuing a small and shrinking pool of funds with which to pay claims. If you are in Northern California, please let me know and I will be happy to talk to you. If you are somewhere else, please let me know and I will see if I can refer to you someone in your area.
