Is it by law that a pawn shop has to mail you a 10 day grace period notice at the end of the loan,or is it by the discretion of the pawn shop?

Financial Code section 21201 governs. A ten-day notice must be given by mail within the first thirty days after the loan period, usually four months, expires. The notice must be given by registered or certified mail, return receipt requested. The notice is not optional, it is mandatory.
