Legal Question in Business Law in California
Do I legally have to disclose to my current employer my next employer when I am leaving? I don't have any non-compete agreements with the current employer for this future employer.

No, there is no such requirement regardless of any agreements, unless you are working for one of the few highly classified government agencies. In fact, you don't even have to disclose any of your professional or personal plans when you are leaving an employer.

The other attorney is right on point here. If you signed an employment or other document agreeing to do this, that may be a different story. Consult with an attorney in your area for specifics.
