licensed and bonded
Trying to find out how I can get licensed and bonded for a small business such as housekeeping or housesitting.

I'd start out going to City Hall to get the business license. Finding a bond isn't quite so easy. You need to check around for people that act as selling agents for bonding companies. One starting point could be to ask local insurance agents - bonds are somewhat related to insurance and many agents would either be able to help you directly or to refer you. Bail bonds are a horse of another color, and bail bondsmen by and large wouldn't be able to help. You can also check big-city phone books and on line.
