Legal Question in Business Law in California

I'm a licensed contractor in California. I started a job with a lady and since she couldn't make her mind up about decisions such as where to put her washer/dryer, and would not decide on a color etc. the job was delayed. The total estimate for this was around $5000, she paid half. I have other customers to tend to, she was suppossed to call me as soon as she was ready, she took months to do this. I would go to her home when she said she was ready, she was not there and the material was not there either. She is know demanding that everything be completed at once, she also started sending e-mails what most likely seems that she is doing this to build a case. Complaining that she paid for work that has not yet been completed, she is saying she had to pay someone else for faulty electrical work and know has said that dirt got into her floor and needs to be replaced and also that she fears that the plubmery that was done might cause a flood in her home. All the work was done carefully and was checked before leaving her house, all that she is doing is fabricating lies through her e-mails. I know other people that she worked with that had problems with her as she only waisted their time such as the owner of the kitchen cabinets and other handy man she hired.

What can I do in this situation as it seems it's her word against mine. I was not even interested in filing a civil suit against her for not paying at least for the work completed. I was just going to leave it at that so that I wouldn't have to deal with her anymore.

Any information as to what are my rights or where could I go to get help. Or if there is really a case for her to build and me to rebutle.

Thanks
