Legal Question in Business Law in California

maid service performance

When the service is terminated for continued lateness and poor work finally after last Friday maids worked less than half their time originally scheduled to have been worked Thursday half the last payment is withheld. GM of service sends e-mails to wife at work threatening collection, lien against house, then adding new fee for termination without notice. He accepts no discussion of his responsibilty but only insists he was not paid in full and threatens late payment penalties. What legal action may I pursue tomorrow to counter this harassment and set of business practices already complaint ID 7939305 with the Better Business Burea in Stockton CA?

Re: maid service performance

Unfortunately, we only handle law in the business-to-business arena, and this falls outside our practice area, which is Arizona law. Good luck in your search for an attorney.

Re: maid service performance

I'm not sure I'm entirely clear on what happened here. It sounds like you fired your maid service due to performance. If that is the case then your legal protections primarily depend on what your contract states regarding who owes who what in the case of termination.

You should review your agreement in depth to determine what your legal rights and obligations are. If you need any help I (or any other attorney) would be happy to help you.
