Legal Question in Business Law in California

Non-Disclosure Agreements

If a person has signed a non-disclosure agreement which lists " supplier, customer, employee, investor, or business information" as Confidential Information, can a former employee of that company subsequently work for a former customer of that company or is the company able to prohibit the business relationship? I am especially interested in how this question can be answered in light of CALIFORNIA BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONS CODE 16600 which says every contract by which anyone is restrained from engaging in a lawful profession, trade, or business of any kind is to that extent void.

Re: Non-Disclosure Agreements

non-disclosure agreements are generally valid but they cannot stop you from working for another company of any kind. As long as you dont disclose confidential information you can work for anyone.
