Legal Question in Business Law in California
Non-profit
We have a well respected volunteer from the field of music who whishes to remain nameless donating his speaking time to our organization. He is interested in knowing if our 501(c) 3 non-profit gives
Receipt/vouchers stating the monetary cost he charges per engagement that can be looked at as a paid donation. I have been working with non-profits for 4 years and I never heard of such a thing. He states since we have a 501(c) 3 certification from the IRS we should be able to do this. Have you ever heard of such thing? Can this situation be remedied? Is their any other solution close to what he is requesting.

Re: Non-profit
We have an attorney who could assist you with this; she spends a lot of her practice on non-profits.
