Welcome to the USA.

The requirements for opening a business are the same for you as for U.S. citizens and permanent resudents, assuming your visa status allows this. You'll need sufficient capital and a business plan; you'll also need to comply with local law regarding things like liability and workers compensation insurance; payroll processing to deduct taxes from your employees' pay checks; collection of sales tax, etc.

You could also google [starting a business]; you could contact the Service Corps of Retired Executives, a group of volunteer business facilitators, at http://www.score.org .

A business location in the US and then obtain a foreign business to do busines in the US form from the secretary of state. Of course if you incorporate in the US state you are doing business, then you hould only need the standard business license (and not the foreign one doing usiness in the state). Note that this is for CA only, I can not advise you on other states' laws.
