Legal Question in Business Law in California
opromotional offer
a company offered at a presentation/seminar, a special offer of membership. they say by law they can not honor after I leave the premisis. it is a really good offer of membership. If I don't do the offer at that time, I can still be a member but then the membership has far less perks. is this really a law or their own policy? they say this is under civil rights, not business practice? they say it is unfair to hold the ''special '' offer, and would be reverse discrimination to allow the offer to stand after I leave the presentation.

Re: opromotional offer
In general, and this applies to any type of deal, if it is really a good deal today it will still be available tomorrow. Never let yourself be pressured into signing any contract. Take the contract home and read it or have it reviewed. Usually deals that are good "only today," or contracts that you cannot take home and read, are scams.
