Legal Question in Business Law in California
Hello, I believe that my partner is taking cash money's from the business . Is there any way that I would be able to request their bank statements. to see if their accounts have grown the past 6 months.
I keep getting word that the Cash Sales have diminished and that is why we can not pay employees and partners , there share.
best regards.

Not unless you sue them. If there is a lawsuit pending you could subpoena the bank records.
What you are describing is embezzlement, a form of stealing, and it is a crime. You might contact your local police (or sheriff depending on who has jurisdiction in your area) to report it as a crime. They may be able to investigate and bring charges against this person. They also have the ability to subpoena bank and other financial records in pursuing their investigation. If this is an entirely cash business, and there is no record of money coming in or going out, it will be much harder to bring a case.
