pawn shop gets robbed

i had jewelry in pawn when the pawnshop got robbed. i was told that ther was nothing that could be done. no where in the store was it posted about surity bonds. i belive the shop was neg ligent in there secerity. do i have a case? many others were also told the same as me. are we all just ____ out of luck? i had every intendtion of paying off my loan yet it's all gone.

Usually on the back of the pawn ticket, there are provision of what to do in the event of loss, and what your rights are. Read it. Or you could sue in Small Claims court,however you would still be bound by the rights of recovery on the back of the pawn ticket.
