Legal Question in Business Law in California
Personal Injury
We are paying a person a certain amount of money to cover damage he claims he sustained from eating our product. he claims to have suffered a broken tooth from eating an unpopped kernel of our popcorn. The amount to fix the tooth is $545. We have decided not to submit the claim to insurance. Should we write something on the back of the check or moeny order we give him to ensure he cannot claim further danmage from this incident?

Re: Personal Injury
Besides he not having a good case, most likely, you need to get a properly drafted release with certain language required in California. Language on the back to the check may not be sufficient.
