Legal Question in Business Law in California
personal/semi-professional website having pictures of co-workers/friends
Hi, I have a website for my
personal/professional use. I'd like to
post pictures that I took of co-
workers/friends. Do I need to ask
them, individually, for their
permission to have it on my website?

Whether you have to ask for permission is a question seeking legal advice. You need to hire an attorney to discuss your particular situation before an attorney can provide legal advice about your particular situation.
In general, one is usually safer asking for permission rather than trying to litigate after the fact. California law has specific provisions regarding use of images of persons for commercial purposes.
