Power of Attorney
My husband's bookkeeper has been arrested for some type of Grand Theft& he has power of attorney for my husband's business (check writing, etc). How do we cancel the power of attorney?

You can cancel a power of attorney by thought alone. However, it won't do any good until you notify people. And in order to have proof that you notified them, you should do so in writing. And in the case of your banks, you should prepare a written, traceable trail of the notification: take a letter into the bank, with a copy for them to date stamp and return to you. You might consider publishing a small notice. Be sure the bookkeeper's husband is informed that he no longer has power of attorney.
