Legal Question in Business Law in California
I am the president of a HOA. We fired our old manger and hired a new company. The old manager refuses to give back any of our belonging, keys, business checks, files, records etc. We do not owe any money nor is it disputed that we do. The contract was terminated July 1 according to the contract requirements, 30 days prior by certified mail etc.
I, the new management and several board members have contacted her repeatedly to get our belonging to no avail. How do we force the manager to return our belongings?

Did you have a contract with the other company and what did it provide for? I would be happy to talk to u about it. Feel free to call me 818 345 0123
Give her notice that if she does not return the items, you will contact law enforcement. If she does not return them, contact law enforcement. If they are unable to assist you or refuse, file a civil suit for the return of the items.
