Legal Question in Business Law in California

having problem getting paid from customer who recieved merchandise

I'm a business owner of California.I have a customer that has not paid us for merchandise received 12/17/00 & 12/24/00. she lives in Terre Haute,IN. I have a wholesale business and we also sell over the net. Normally we do not send merchandise before we receive payment but this was a chat buddy of my wife's that she has been chatting with for 3 yrs. So we did the favor to get it all out by Christmas. Now were are getting the run around & she says the money orders she had made from the bank were cashed in California on Jan 8th and 9th. But our company bank is in New Mexico. we do business in California now because we've just recently moved, and do all our banking from New MExico still. I requested to see her bank address/ contact/cancelled money orders that were supposed to be made in our company name.she hasnt complied.I don't understand how someone can cash them. She keeps insisting on having us scan a canceled check & give a signature & she would take care of it but i don't want to send nothing over the InternetShe owes us $140.12. thank you for your time.

The only thing you can really do is file a small Claims Court case here and see if the court will accept jurisdiction.
