Legal Question in Business Law in California
Property management
I live on an orchard with 10 other homes. The property manager asked me to manage the rental of these homes. Do I need to be a real estate agent or broker? Can He not hire me to manage and collect rents?

Re: Property management
You do not need a real estate broker's license to manage and rent the properties. You should have a contract in place where you receive some compensation or reduction in your rent for your services. I would stay away from a verbal contract.
