Publishing company information

Is it illegal to publish (on the internet) results of a survey that show job satisfaction for specific companies? If not, is it illegal to post specific information about the companies, such as wages, other opinions, stories, location, etc.?

Normally, merely publishing information is not a crime. Publishing defamatory or trade secret information can result in a lawsuit, sometimes a successful one, but the type of information you discussed in your question is published on many websites, for example at vault.com .
