Legal Question in Business Law in California

Question about permits.

Are there any permits that I have to get to build and sell computers online?

Like to have a website were people can buy their computers and then have me build and ship it?

If there is what do I need to do or have to be able to get that permit?

Is there anything similar to rent/sell web space and emails?

Thank you in advanced.

I've noticed that many computers and other devices that can produce RF radiation have FCC type-approval stickers. Maybe you should check with the FCC to see whether as an assembler you need this, or if it comes from the motherboard supplier, case manufacturer or elsewhere.

You'll need a city (or county) business license, and if you use a fictitious business name, you need to register and publish the particulars.

Beyond that, I'd suggest getting a California-oriented small-business management paperback and inquire into free publications for new business put out by the SBA and IRS, and at least skim them all.
