Legal Question in Business Law in California
I received a request from the state of California franchise board to give information about my tenant ( employer, drivers licence, car licence plates, phone number) I do not have most of the I formation. Can I ignore the letter or am I obligated to give information I know. What legal consequences do I have if I do not. Thank you

Without knowing why the Franchise Tax Board requested this information, I'd suggest responding with a letter giving them whatever information you do have, and politely telling them that you don't have the other info. Keep a copy for your records. Your tenant is probably under investigation for some tax-related issue. Landlords are probably fairly commonly asked to provide information, but the FTB probably has other sources.
