Legal Question in Business Law in California

Registration fee forfeited

I registered a 5-day training class with RedHat Linux and paid $2,498 in spring 2008. I called in and requested the delay of my attendance twice without scheduling any class with RedHat. Recently, I asked for rescheduling. I was told that my registration fee is forfeited in accordance with RedHat payment policy. Be honest, I have never been aware of such a policy. Do I have any recourse?

Re: Registration fee forfeited

I don't know, did you sign a contract or otherwise agree to contractual terms? Did you keep a copy? Did you read it? What does the contract say? I would take them to small claims court. O doubt that a judge would uphold a total forfeiture even if it is provided for in the contract.
