If rental company fails to pick up tables and chairs after repeated promises can I keep rentals?

Well, it depends upon what you mean by "keep." If you mean "continue to store," the answer is not only yes, but also it is your responsibility to do so. If, on the other hand, you mean "treat them as though they belong to me," then the answer is NO. Ownership of rented property does not change just because the rental company is delinquent in picking it up.
