Legal Question in Business Law in California
Could I represent myself in court?
We are getting ready to file a civil suit against a contractor and because of cost constraints I am considering representing myself in court. The suit pertains to a contractor that attempted to work on our home with a suspended license and no workers comp who, after being fired, filed a fraudulent lien against our home and refuses to remove it. The State Contractors Board is already in process of investigating him on our behalf for violations and we are confident that they will have no problems finding them but I don't want to be over confident. I would greatly appreciate your help and input!

You are allowed to represent yourself. Chances are, though, that you won't be able to do it well.
