Legal Question in Business Law in California
I am representing myself in civil court in California.
One year ago I emailed and spoke with many attorneys re representation.
One of the attorneys that I had emailed back and forth with is now representing the defendant.
Is this legal? Can an attorney look at both sides of a case and "pick the winner"?
Thanks

No. Perhaps he forgot that you had contacted him and you should remind him. If he then refuses to withdraw, you can file a Motion to Disqualify him with the court. You might also contact the California State Bar and make a complaint with them.
