Legal Question in Business Law in California
I'm representing myself as a personal manager and want to "form" a sole proprietorship with a DBA based in Arizona and also working out of state in California.
Beside filing the DBA in both states - what else do I have to do and watch out for?

You should look into incorporating and/or forming an LLC, to avoid potential personal liability issues.
