Legal Question in Business Law in California
I am a resident Alien. I am not allowed to work in USA. Can I start a business in california and hire a local person (I need only 1 person) to do all the work. Does he/she have to be a full time employee or a part time is ok?

A problem with your proposed arrangement is that the immigration folks could consider the proposed business to have two workers, one your employee, the other you, the boss, even if your role was limited to hiring and a little supervision. I believe the safer arrangement is to form a business entity (corporation or limited liability company) and limit your role to being its owner. The employee should then hold all the officer positions, but would still be under your ultimate direction and control as the owner. California allows one-owner corporations and LLCs.
