Legal Question in Business Law in California
Retaliatory Sexual Harrassment Claim
I am a manager of a department. 8 months ago I hired a female employee I am a male and a breif but sexually charged e-mail relationship started began. It ended as quickly as it started and no actual physical contact or anything occurred. Now, 7 months later I am leaving my position voluntarily and on the last day I had to write up the employee for being unprofessional in the workplace and now she is bringing a sexual harassment claim against me at work.
