Salary change legality
My employer recently lowered my salary without my signed or verbal approval - is this legal?

It depends. Generally, unless you and your employer have signed an employment contract which provides for a specific salary, the anwer is yes, it is legal.
However, if the reduction in salary was done for an improper purpose, the answer is no.
You should discuss this matter at length with an attorney in your area experienced in labor law.

Not enough facts, but probably, if you are an employee at will, as most are. There may be an issue if you were not notified of the decrease until after the pay period (that is, after the work was performed), in which case they may owe you for back wages. But going forward the new rate is likely fine; in which case, your recourse is to accept it, quit/ find a new job, or try to get the decision reversed.
