Assuming this is a contract for the sale of goods, the goods should be identified in a way that a reasonable person could tell what they are.

It is also a good idea to identify the terms of the sale, such as quantity, price, place of delivery, etc. However, depending on the specific facts of the situation, a lot can be determined after the fact.
