Selling Cars
I need to know how many automobiles you can privately sell in a year, without a license to sell cars.

I can't find a direct answer. If you are in business as a "dealer",
then you must register under Vehicle Code Sections 11700 and following.
Other rules, designed to protect against fraud, apply to any motor vehicle transaction by
a person in business.
