Legal Question in Business Law in California
Selling products overseas
Hello Law Guru, I have a few questions about doing business overseas. I have friends in China who would want to sell electronics, they find it profitable if I buy them here in US, CA, online, and then ship it to them. Is this procedure legal? If it is, what (if any) taxes, license, procedures, or tariffs do I need to pay? I'd really appreciated it for a feedback. Thanks!

Re: Selling products overseas
What you describe is a rip-off scam.
If you are being asked to purchase things with credit card numbers supplied by your friends in China, the credit card numbers are stolen. The mark (you) gets arrested for receiving stolen property.
I suppose you also agreed to cash checks for them and send them the "change" by Western Union. HELLO! If it's too good to be true, it's a scam.
