Legal Question in Business Law in California

I have been served a subpoena and they are asking for any writings containing home and work address & phone numbers for another person.Do cellphones numbers fall under writings ?

A phone number isn't a writing, but it may be included in a writing. They are asking you for writings that *contain* phone number, etc., not for writings that *are* those things.

I agreewith Mr. Hoffman. If you have a writing (and that term is defined VERY broadly in the California Evidence Code) that contains ANY addresses, telephone numbers, etc. for the subject, those writings must be produced, whether the numbers are for wired telephones, FAX lines, call phones, Skype phones, or whatever. Cell phone numbers fall under phone numbers. You need to produce the writings that contain the numbers, the addresses, etc.
