Legal Question in Business Law in California

Hello,

I have a service company and we sometimes loan equipment to our customers as a matter of service and not any contractual obligations just helping our customers.

I have a customer we did extensive work and now their not going to pay the service bill. Since I have equipment on site at the customer location, can I pull the equipment out without suffering any legal discourse? if so what are my alternatives?

If you have lent equipment without any charge or any kind of agreement, you are free to take it back at any time so long as you do not cause a breach of the peace in so doing.
