Legal Question in Business Law in California
small claims court
Can I sue a person in small claims court here in Ca. if the defendant lives in Arizona ?
I live in Ca. This person purchased an item from me on ebay, sent payment to me and I sent item to him in Arizona. He Then sued me claiming item not as described and served me here in Ca.. Made threats of bodily harm harassing phone messages.I went to Arizona and prevailed at trial. Can I sue him here in Ca. and have him served in Arizona ?
Thank you.

Re: small claims court
If your claim against him based upon the same eBay transaction then you probably had to bring a cross-complaint in the original action and probably cannot bring a new case now. If your claim is not based upon that transaction then I would need more facts before I could say whether California's courts would have jurisdiction over the buyer.
