Which is better for a small part time business LLC or Sole Proprietor

Probably sole proprietor if it really is small and part time, but depending on expected revenues, taxation, and risk management that would depend on the type of business, it could be an LLC. The main problem with an LLC or small S Corp is that they require time and money to maintain, and if they are not properly maintained in both corporate formalities and bookkeeping on an ongoing basis, they essentially lose all their protective value.
