Legal Question in Business Law in California
If I want to become a sole proprietor, but I want to protect the property I own from any potential claims that may arise in the future, can I transfer the property into a trust's name? Or do I have to form a LLC and tranfer it that way?

This is the age old question. The answer really depends on the nature of the business, how the business uses the property, and what assets you want to protect (and what to protect them from).
What is the business?
Does the business include the property?
