Tax preparer liability
My tax prepare failed to follow instructions or use common sense when preparing two of my self employment tax fillings. The preparer did not assist me in my defense against the IRS in the two resulting audits. The cost to me in taxes, penalties, etc. was over $10,000. What is the preparer�s liability in such a case?

Perhaps the penalties, but not the taxes owed.
