Legal Question in Business Law in California
Tenant Liability
Background info:
I'm one of four tenants named on a lease. One roommate is planning on subleasing, while he is out of state for an internship. The lease states that he must notify the landlord and pay an administrative fee. He refuses to notify the landlord and plans on subleasing without any formal provisions.
Question: What liabilities are there and how can this affect me? I have renters insurance in the event of some damage, but what else can I be held liable for? My main concern is how this could affect me.
THANK YOU!!
