Legal Question in Business Law in California
Truck Leasing
I want to get some advice on my options in mabye filing a bad faith type lawsuit against the company I lease a semi truck from and work for. I am losing money and they keep saying it's going to get better and business is slow but i'm going broke and I don't want to just turn in the truck because they tell me that would go against my credit report and my daq report. I just don't know what to do, I would like to make them pay at least somthing to me to help me catch up on bills. Thank You

Sounds like you need a new job.
Re: Truck Leasing
You are very unlikely to win a lawsuit of any kind based on someone predicting the future of the economy, or any particular segment of it, and their prediction turning out to be wrong.
My brother is a long-haul trucker and it took him several years of experimenting with employers, self-employment, leasing, various types of trailers, etc. before becoming somewhat profitable. For many, owner-operator trucking is a revolving bankruptcy, and that's despite the supposed shortage of drivers. Unless you like working for five bucks an hour net, maybe you should try something else.
Re: Truck Leasing
Unfortunately, the leasing company at issue would not be duly liable for your decreased earnings, under the factual circumstances you have described herein. However, if you are a self-employed, owner operator of the truck at issue, you may qualify for special funding that you do not have to repay to help you get your business up and running better.
