Legal Question in Business Law in California
Uhaul Catastrophe $12,000 lost
I rented a uhaul storage 1.5 years ago from Uhaul. 3 months after renting I return to Jax. Fl. Uhaul ran misc charges for storage over 40 times. Which began financial strain. Uhaul withdrew over 1200 from my account unauthorized. It took until July for them to determine they were wrong. Since that time, I have over charges late fees unable to get storage, change of management constantly ignored letters and phone calls. Finally relocate to Lakeland, Uhual once again cost 1 month extra hotel, additional fees to date 800 dollars. Still have not gotten furniture. In addition continue to charge late fees even when less that 10 days late. Over 1.5 years plus monies lost from relocation total about 12k and a family man with 3 kids and ill wife has suffered never able to get furniture because financial strain and uhaul's constantly either overcharging or not making storage avaliable. Do I have any grounds for financial, mental anguish and contrant strain on my marriage. I am 44 years and I have financially destroyed.

You have possible grounds for a claim based on financial loss and special damages. To have a claim for mental anguish or stress to your marriage you would need to be able to prove a direct relationship between Uhaul's actions and your specific damages.
