As a Private Sales Broker, do I have any recourse when my client downloaded a VPN on to my laptop to his company without my permission? I left it at his office daily and was not awar of it until after our relationship ended?

Re: VPN Downloaded software

I would have a bunch of questions to ask you before attempting to answer this question:

(1) What is a Private Sales Broker?

(2) Why would the rights and remedies of a Private Sales Broker be different from those of others? In other words, how does being a Private Sales Broker affect anything?

(3) What is a VPN?

(4) What did you leave at the client's office daily, the laptop or the VPN?

(5) Did you suffer any harm (monetary or otherwise) as a result of whatever the client did?

Whan LawGuru questioners ask "Do I have any recourse for......(whatever went wrong)" they are usually asking whether they can get money damages, an injunction, etc. for harm done them. It isn't clear whay there should be recourse for downloading a VPN. Did this cause you a monetary loss, or result in emotional distress, etc.?
