Legal Question in Business Law in California
Warehouse Stores
I am questioning these large warehouse stores such as Costco or Sam's club, that stop you as you leave their store to check your receipt and your cart.
My question is, do these stores have the right to stop me and check my receipt and cart before I am allowed to leave the store? Considering I just walked over to them from the check out register? I feel this is an invasion of privacy and that they are nonverbally accusing me of shoplifting.

No, there is nothing they can do if you just walk out.
