Legal Question in Business Law in California
Used watercraft sales, what is my liability?
I sold a jet ski I owned which was in working order, to the best of my knowledge, on the date sold. Purchaser of the jet ski is now suing me claiming 'there was extensive electrical damage.' I have never been contacted by the purchaser since the sale date, until I was served the small claims papers at my home. This sale is 2 months old. Will I be held liable for the purchase price?
