Legal Question in Business Law in California
Web Postings Legal?
I advertised my consulting services on the internet to a national audience. I am retiring and am no longer providing the service. I removed all the posting I could but there are several that could not be removed do to a number of reasons (web owner didn't reply, out of business, unable to locate web owner). If these posting remain for years to come is that ok legally or must I remove these as I am no longer provind what I am advertising?

I wouldn't worry about it. The most important thing to do is pay your business bills. I assume you had no partners, weren't incorporated and have no successor. Just notify everyone you did business with in the last six months or so, either as a supplier or as a customer, that you have retired, informing them of your forwarding address, and asking them to send final payments or bills and close your account.
