Legal Question in Business Law in California

My wife and I represent ourselves in a civil against against a manufacturer. In a hearing, the the judge ruled that we were misled by the subsidiary company we sued. We should have filed an action against the parent company. We were asked by the Court to file an amended complaint. The case is being handled at the California Superior Court in San Francisco.

Question: What California Superior Court, San Francisco form do I use in their library of forms?

Well, if your suit is based upon a contract, you may have initiated your action with Judicial Council Form PLD-C-001, which is a general-purpose contract complaint form. Note that toward the top of the form are boxes you can check to designate whether you are using the form for a "Complaint" or an "Amended Complaint." Perhaps this is the form you should use. In any event, this form and most others are statewide, not local, and are designed by the Judicial Council of California. Their library of forms is searchable on line.
