Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

I am currently in my 3rd month of my 1 year lease at my new apartment. I moved in with my girlfriend and another couple, The boyfriend in the other couple has a drug problem, he smokes marijuana about 5+ times a day, can i legaly get out of my lease because of this drug problem?

How is his smoking the fault of the landlord? Does your lease prohibit smoking of any type and the landlord does not enforce that restriction? Does he have medical card allowing the smoking of pot?
