Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California
Attorney avoiding service
My former attorney did not represent me well. Verdict was overturned by Appeals Court but not until I served 10 years of my life. I am suing my former attorney and he is hiding and avoiding service. I am almost out of money. What can I do to keep my case alive?

Re: Attorney avoiding service
We attorneys are real easy to serve. Use substituted service. (You are using a professional process server, aren't you? And you do have an attorney, don't you?) All the process server has to do is leave a copy at the attorney's address of record as listed on the state bar website, then mail a copy.
