Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California
An attorney told me to go to the law library ad ask the librarian to direct me to "Witkins on Agency".....Can someone just tell me what it is?

The librarian could tell you that, too. Bernard Witkin was one of California's foremost legal scholars and wrote/edited several treatises on various aspects of California law. Since his death a few years ago, Witkin's work is now carried on by others in his name. His treatise on agency explains the law regarding the designation of one as the agent for the other, liabilities of the agent, in what way the agent can act for the principal, and so forth. Basically, the attorney who responded to your earlier question must have suggested that you derive the answer to your question by reading the large treatise, rather than answer your question directly.
