Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California
Our beloved family pet
We have a dog that's licensed ,great with our small daughters, and loves people. Unfotunately he is a pitbull and the neighbor next door is terrified for some reason. I think they are only stereotyping by what they see on television. They've called animal control 6 times in the last month n everytime she makes them check our fence, which we've reinforced. How can we get her off our back and live in peace??

Re: Our beloved family pet
I would start out by talking to the neighbor in question. Explain to her that you have had the fence reinforced so the dog will not escape and that you would appreciate it if she would stop calling animal control. Reasoning with a neighbor, sometimes, is better than threatening legal action. I mean, you have to live there! If she doesnt stop after talking to her you may consider hiring a lawyer to write a letter to her.
Good Luck!
